• Myeloma now is a chronic disease
– Patients are living longer than ever
– Although mostly incurable
• Modified targeted therapy paradigm
– Risk adapted or molecular signature adapted
– Change from continuous to non-continuous treatment
when appropriate – response adapted treatment
• Newer treatments
