Queen were an English rock band
formed in 1970 in London by
guitarist Brian May, lead vocalist
Freddie Mercury, and drummer
Roger Taylor, with bassist John
Deacon completing the line up the
following year. The band were
noted for their musical diversity,
multi-layered arrangements, vocal
harmonies, and incorporation of
audience participation into their
live performances. Their 1985 Live
Aid performance was voted the
best live rock performance of all
time in an industry poll.
The Beatles were a rock and
pop band from Liverpool,
England that formed in 1960.
During their career, the group
primarily consisted of John
Lennon (rhythm guitar,
vocals), Paul McCartney (bass
guitar, vocals), George
Harrison (lead guitar, vocals)
and Ringo Starr (drums,
vocals). Their clothes, style and
statements made them trendsetters, while their growing
social awareness saw their
influence extend into the social
and cultural revolutions of the
1960s. After the band broke up
in 1970, all four members
embarked upon successful solo
careers.
Andrew Lloyd Webber Lord Lloyd
Webber has achieved great popular
success, with several musicals that have
run for more than a decade both in the
West End and on Broadway. He has
gained a number of honours, including
three Grammy Awards and so one .
Several of his songs, notably "The Music
of the Night" from The Phantom of the
Opera, "I Don't Know How to Love Him"
from Jesus Christ Superstar, "Don't Cry
for Me, Argentina" from Evita, and
"Memory" from “Cats” have been widely
recorded and were hits outside of their
parent musicals. His company, the Really
Useful Group, is one of the largest
theatre operators in London.
Sir Elton Hercules John

pianist. In his four-decade
career, John has sold over

him one of the most
successful artists of all time.

40 hits including seven
consecutive.
John Michael "Ozzy“
Osbourne (born 3 December
1948) is an English
singer-songwriter,
whose career has now
spanned four decades.
Osbourne rose to
prominence as lead
vocalist of pioneering
British heavy metal band
Black Sabbath, and
eventually achieved a
multi-platinum solo
career which
revolutionized the heavy
metal genre.
Placebo are an alternative
rock band formed in
London in 1994, currently
consisting of Brian Molko,
Stefan Olsdal and Steve
Forrest. To date, they have
released six studio
albums, six EPs and
twenty-seven singles. The
band have gained a
considerable amount of
international recognition.
They have sold over one
million albums in the UK
and over ten million
worldwide.
