And he died on
26.10.1993 in Prag at the
age of 86 age years.
Louis de Funes
His
parents came from Seville, Spain. His father, Carlos Luis
de Funès de Galarza had been a lawyer in Spain, but became
a diamond cutter upon arriving in France.
As
a youth, Lois was fond of drawing and piano playing.
Later he became a pianist, working mostly as a jazz pianist
at Pigalle. He studied acting for one year at the Simon acting
school.
After
the Second World War De Funès began his
show business career in the theatre, where he enjoyed
moderate success.
In
1945 he made his film debut at the age of 31 with
a bit part in Jean Stelli's La Tentation de Barbizon ("The
Temptation of Barbizon"). And he went on to perform in
130 film roles over the next 20 years.
Unlike
the characters he played, de Funès was said to
be a very shy person in real life.
Thanks
of rapidly changing range of facial expressiveness, de Funès
was nicknamed "the man with forty faces per minute„.
In
many of his films, he played the role of a humorously excitable,
middle-aged or mature man with a propensity to hyperactivity, bad
faith, and uncontrolled fits of anger.
Along
with his short height, (he measured 5 ft 4 in (1.63 m)) and his
facial contortions, this hyperactivity produced a comic effect.
Frantisek Filipovsky
He
was born in a musician family, his father was a
composer. Since his childhood Frantisek was very interested
in music and theatre. He was a good singer and could play a
few musical instruments.
He
started his career as an actor in the "The Free Theatre"
leaded by populat actor´s duo Jan Werich-Jiri Voskovec.
He
was acting in a various movies during 30´s of XX
century.During War II he was just a movie actor. Just
after the War II he became a member of National Theatre.
He was extremely popular both in movie and at radio in
50´s.
His
legendary radio reading is a novel of Frantisek
Polacek "We were The Five". He acts unmemorable part
in a movie "Emperor´s Baker and Baker´s Emperor" - the
legend about Old Prague Jewish "robot" Golem .
The
number of
Filipovsky parts is really
incredible - his career
counts over 100! movies
and tv series.

and his role in dubbing
In
the Czech Republic and France, all foreign films and
television programmes shown on television are dubbed,
often by very well known actors.In the Czech Republic, it
is also common that some actors are always dubbed by
one Czech actor. And this was the case of Louis de
Funes, he was almost always dubbed by František
Filipovský. He became his unique dabber and was
honored by Mr. Funes as the best dubber of him.
He
dubbed Louis de Funes in a unforgettable way and
won in his career a few annual Prizes for Dubbing.
