Liberal or Conservative?
Propaganda in Cartoons
Asha - 1st Hour
This is a liberal cartoon attacking the big corporate farms and
wants you to purchase from small, family owned, free range
farms. It discourages you from buying from big corporations
and indicates that the product is toxic because of what they
feed the animals. It also
shows them in a small
cage. It is an exageration
by showing the hen in
the small cage and the
egg having steam and a
skull on it.
This is a conservative cartoon against the liberals. It states that
the liberals have not helped with the issues on the swords and
that this things are hanging by a hair and will come down on
their heads and be the end of them. These things will take them
down. This cartoon is an example of symbolism - it uses the
swords to represent the issues
that are not being
addressed properly
by the liberals. This is
also labeling because
the donkey is the label
for the liberals.
This could be either liberal or a conservative cartoon. Probably
more liberal. But, what it is saying is that the ultra-conservative
Tea Party is taking over the Republican party and is winning
elections. This party is antigovernment and anti-tax. It
is tying up the Republic party.
This cartoon is demonstrating
irony. It is showing what is
actually happening in our
government today. They are
also using the elephant as a
label for the conservatives.
