Cats, birds and other kinds of animals were
important to people.
The gods also had heads of important
animals.
This is one of the
important animals.
Pharaohs
Pharaohs are kings or queens of Egypt.
They wanted people to build pyramids.
People had to listen to what they say.
This is a
pharaoh in
Egypt.
Homes
Their homes were made of dried mud and
painted white.
They had wooden headdress instead of
pillows.
This is an
Egyptian
house.
River Nile
Every year the river Nile flooded in Egypt.
Egyptians went swimming there but they
had to watch out for crocodiles. They also
washed clothes and drank water from it.

Nile.
GODS & Goddesses
Egyptians believed in many gods and
goddesses. Ra is the powerful sun god.
Horus and Seth once turned into fierce
hippos to fight.
These are the gods
and goddesses.
Fun & games
Egyptians loved sport, games, music,
dancing and parties.
Men liked having boat contests on the river
Nile.
Some Egyptians
learned how to play
this harp.

After many years, Egyptians stopped
building pyramids. They buried important
people in tombs instead.
Robbers often dug into tombs to steal
treasure.
