Conservatory Sessions
Through the mounting of a full scale musical
production, campers will study acting, singing, and
dancing. They will also work on various theatre
skills from improvisation to character study.
Campers will participate in an audition master
class to prepare for the show audition and beyond.
This is a wonderful opportunity for students to
acquire a solid foundation in theatre and build self
confidence in a fun and safe environment with a
staff who are professionals in both the field of
teaching and performance.

Conrad Birdie, an Elvis Presley type
who is about to be inducted into the
army. Girls of all ages are in an uproar which presents the perfect
publicity stunt to be launched by his
agent…Conrad will bid a typical
American teenage girl goodbye with
an all-Amercian kiss on the Ed
Sullivan Show. But who will it be???

About the Staff…
Stevie Brouillet, founder and managing director of K.I.D.S.
has been a teacher in the Howard County school system for
over thirty five years. Since founding K.I.D.S., Ms. Brouillet
has produced a wide variety of shows including The Music
Man, Annie, Beauty and the Beast, Oklahoma!, High School
Musical and Peter Pan. She will serve as camp director.
Kurt Boehm, (Director/Choreographer), most recently
served as choreographer and director for Footloose, Zombie
Prom, Grease, Urinetown & Joseph…Dreamcoat for Teen
K.I.D.S. Summer Conservatory. He also has taught at
Columbia Center for Theatrical Arts, Creative Artists Institute,
and Creative Cauldron. Mr. Boehm recently choreographed
The Keegan Theatre’s production of Rent and Spring
Awakening. Mr. Boehm has performed at the Kennedy
Center, Signature Theatre, Arena Stage, Ford’s Theatre,
Adventure Theatre, Olney Theatre, Theatre of The First
Amendment and Toby’s Dinner Theatre. Mr. Boehm
graduated from The Catholic University of America,
Bachelor’s in Music with a concentration in Musical Theatre.
Kathryn Carlsen, (Director) will be co-directing the Teen
K.I.D.S. production. Most recently, she co-directed Footloose,
Zombie Prom, Grease, and Urinetown with Teen K.I.D.S. For
the past ten years, she has been the theatre teacher at
Centennial High School. She is also the Education Director for
the Baltimore Improv Group. She has worked as a camp
director and counselor at Slayton House Camp of the Arts.
Ms. Carlsen has performed at the Studio Theatre, Creative
Alliance, Theatre Project, and Everyman Theatre. She
received her bachelor’s degree from UMCP in Theatre and
English Education and her master’s degree in Theatre
Management from Brooklyn College.
David Little, (Music Director) has worked as a music
director and teaching artist for Adventure Theatre MTC and
Columbia Center for Theatrical Arts, and has taught music at
Kidville in addition to having a private piano studio. David is a
Helen Hayes Award nominated actor who performed OffBroadway in the original production of Bob Marley’s Three
Little Birds at the New Victory Theatre. Regionally, he has
worked at Shakespeare Theatre Company, The Studio
Theatre, Signature Theatre, Adventure Theatre, MTC and
Toby’s Dinner Theatre. David earned a Bachelor of Music in
Voice and Music Industry with a minor in Theatre from James

the teachers/directors, Centennial Lane Elementary School PTA
(CLES PTA) and their officers, members, agents, volunteers
and representatives, from any and all actions, causes of action,
damages, claims or demands of whatever kind of nature which I
or the above-named child may have against the CLES PTA, or
the other above-listed parties for any injuries, known or
unknown, which are incurred by, arise from or in any way relate
to the above-named child’s participation in this activity.
