• Person behind the words – What does that
mean?
• Flavor and Texture – How would one create
those in a piece of writing?
• From the heart – How does a writer get there?
• Screams to be read aloud – Pair share
something you have read that you think should
be read aloud.

• Specific and accurate – What does that mean with
choosing words?
• Creates pictures in the reader’s mind – What tools would
a writer use to do this?
• Natural/not overdone – What does that mean to a writer?
