1 grade class!
All about me!
• I got my undergraduate and Master’s degree from Kennesaw State University in
early childhood education.
• I am Reading, Special Education, and Gifted Endorsed.
• I have 11 years of experience from working in afterschool, doing many field
experiences through school, 2 years at a private school, and 2 ½ years in the
county. I have taught Ga. Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade. This is my 3rd
year at Oak Grove Elementary.
• I have been married for 2 years.
• I have two cats that enjoy watching me while I am working on
lesson plans, coming up with ideas for the
classroom, and reading.

Transportation
Transportation changes must be in writing and
placed in the red folder or agenda. If your child's
transportation changes during the day,
please call the office, and the office will notify me.
Red Folders and Agendas
• Students will be bringing their agendas and red folders home daily.
Please read the agenda message daily and sign . If you have any
notes that you wish for me to see, please be sure to place them in
the red folder or write them in your child’s agenda. I check both of
these every morning. Any lunch, afterschool, field trip, picture
monies should also be placed in the red folder.

Listen when someone is speaking.
• 4) Keep to your own space and respect other’s
property.

Always do your best!

Walk on the second tile in the hallway and walk
silently.
Behavior Management

• Lose points for poor choices – clip downs
• Rewards (20 points) includes sit with a friend at
lunch, bring in a stuffed animal, use the teacher
chair, free computer time, and line leader.

Fundations Phonics
• Segment Words into syllables and syllables into sounds
• Identify word structures such as blends and digraphs
• read and spell high frequency- non phonetic words
• Read approx. 60 words per minutes with fluency and
understanding
• Read and spell words with unexpected vowel sounds
• Read and spell compound words
• Read and spell the first 100 high frequency words

• Writing: Musical writing concepts, Drama to teach
