•Learn about funding and partnership opportunities under Horizon 2020,
•Contribute your expertise in focused discussions on transatlantic collaboration in the areas of
research, technological development, and innovation (RTDI) with researchers, business
executives, and innovators.
•Hear from practioners in EU-funded programs detail their success and challenges.
•Gain insights on key drivers for health/e-health innovation and promising areas for
transatlantic cooperation.
The workshop is free, however registration is mandatory. Deadline to register is Friday, June 13.

Women in Medicine and Science Symposium

DEADLINE for Abstracts: Monday, June 16, 2014 by 5:00 PM
In observance of Women in Medicine and Science Month, the Women in Medicine & Science
Symposium will highlight the collaborations and achievements of women faculty and trainees
at Brigham and Women’s Healthcare. The program will focus on the collaborations of women
faculty and trainees across different disciplines including basic research, clinical research,
translation research and clinical innovation projects with the goal of building community.
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS FOR ORAL PRESENTATIONS AT THE SYMPOSIUM:
Open to all women faculty and trainees in a BWH-affiliated department.
Up to 6 abstracts to be selected for presentation on September 29, 2014.
Submitted abstracts may be included in an event booklet.
Abstracts can be submitted from any discipline.

Faculty Mentoring Leadership Program
Cohort VI: 2014-2015
A collaborative learning environment among BWH faculty
mentors designed to:
 Increase effectiveness as mentors
 Enhance mentoring skills
 Become mentoring leaders within BWH
Offered through 9, 90-minute sessions October 2014 – June 2015
Course Eligibility:
• Assistant Professors and above
• 5 years of mentoring experience;
• Currently providing mentoring to one or more BWH faculty members
• Commitment to attend all sessions
Applications will be available in mid-June; deadline to apply is July 23, 2014.
