made out of Mountains
Over Millions of years erosion has changed the

Today the highest peaks in the Smoky
Mountains are less than 7,000 feet 2,100
meters above sea level
The Smoky Mountains formed when plates
below the sedimentary rocks met

The different waterways in the great
smoky mountains
 The Grotto Fall - due to strong currents
and swimming in the pool at base of the
falls is extremely dangerous
 Wind and rain have worn away the
mountains tops also

Waterways
The Great Smoky are made mostly out
of sedimentary rocks
2. Overtime the soil at the bottom of the
sea harden into layer of rocks
3. Pressure caused the sedimentary rocks
to fold and lift upward
