Diamondback Rattlesnakes
by: Sammy Winkler
Introduction
This is one of the biggest rattlers. Do you know what it is?
That’s right a diamondback rattlesnake. It has a very interesting life.
I will tell you about it’s adaptations, where it lives and how it warns
animals. I bet you will like this. So sit back and let’s get on with the
report.
Where They live
Hot, steamy and dry that’s how a rattlesnake feels in it’s home. They
live in North and South America. They live in the rocks so they don’t over
heat. They usually come out at night when it’s cooler.
Adaptations

For the biggest rattlesnake in the world it has few adaptations. The
rattlesnake is poisonous and shoots poison into it’s predators through it’s
fangs and they die so he can escape. The tail’s sound shows them to stay
away.
Warns Animals
It’s tail shows them to stay away or die. They make noise
with their tail that means it is a rattlesnake. It’s heard from thirty
feet away so the other animals know. They shake their tail up to
sixty times a second so the animals are scared and run away.
Conclusion

After reading this report, do you think that the diamondback
rattlesnake has an interesting life? I do. One day I hope to see one in
the rocks in Europe.
