Possible source rocks
Van Krevelen Diagram
Geochemical data suggest the presence of source rocks with type II
and III kerogens. The maturity varies mostly from mature to
overmature. %TOC > 1 and Hydrogen Index > 300 mgHC/gTOC

1. Marine, deltaic and fluvial organic rich deposits. Some coaly
units.
2. Coastal to fluvial clastic units.
3. Local clay levels interbedded with potential reservoirs; finegrained volcaniclastic deposits.

Prospectivity
•Late Cretaceous-Eocene organic rich (type II and III) potential
source rocks.
•Paleocene-Miocene sandstones and conglomerates with good
porosity and permeability.
•Favorable geometries for hydrocarbon accumulation, fault
propagation folds, stratigraphic wedging and lateral closures
against normal and inverse faults.
•CBM exploration opportunities related to Paleogene coal beds.
ANH studies. Gravimetric Anomaly Map
Future ANH Exploratory Programs
•VALLE DEL CAUCA 2D SEISMIC PROGRAM. 250 Km approximately.
•Recovery of 5160 meters of cores and electric logs: geochemical,
petrographic, petrophysic and biostratigraphic analysis in the cores.
