The PAIGH liaises with international organizations such as the FIG, ISO/TC211, ICA, ISPRS and
GSDI. Over the past eleven years, 526 projects have been submitted to the consideration of the
Officers with the participation of 14 countries

The Agenda guides the relationship the PAIGH has with the inter - American system
coordinated by the OAS. Expansion of the Institute's operations depends on its ability to
receive additional administrative revenue since maintenance quotas have not changed
since 1996, 18 years ago

The distribution of operational and administrative expenses tends to be equal and
proportional to budgetary allocations made to scientific endeavors

Over the past ten years, technical assistance and publications programs have had an average
annual execution rate of 82%
Periodic and Occasional Publications of the PAIGH
Since 2004, the General Secretariat has had very positive results with the on - demand
production of its periodic and occasional publications. The
PAIGH’s “José Toribio Medina” Bibliographic Fund has 231,078 titles

Forecasts “ and “Seminar on Measures to Prevent, Mitigate and Adapt to the
Impact of Climate Change, Tropical Hurricanes and Tsunamis”
(Commission on Geophysics, Dominican Republic)
The 20th General Assembly (Uruguay, 2013) approved a program consisting of
19 projects worth US$137,340. Six correspond to the Commission on Cartography,
4 to Geography, 3 to History and 6 to Geophysics. Two of the approved projects
are of an inter-disciplinary nature: Cartography/Geography and History/Geophysics.
All are committed to the Pan American Agenda
