Deree College Environmental Club:
Mission
 The Environmental Club´s mission is
 to promote awareness of environmental issues within
the Deree College community
 to encourage student participation in activities
concerning pressing matters such as recycling, climate
change, pollution, wise use of resources and the use
of renewable energy sources
 to help students appreciate the value of natural
ecosystems
 to support and further the development of establishing
Deree College as a Green Campus.

Club Activities
 The goals of the club are achieved through a variety
of activities:
 Lectures by scientific experts and other distinguished
speakers to inform students on environmental issues
 Slide presentations on wildlife and natural ecosystems
to encourage students to appreciate nature
 Documentary screenings
 Participation in exhibitions and in campaigns to raise
environmental awareness, organized within the Deree
College Community

 Participation in College life and cooperation with other
students, faculty and administration
 Field trips to places of ecological interest
 Visits to research centers, exhibitions, museums
 Proposals to improve the environmental performance
of Deree College.
