Trade Winds
Trade winds are toward the equator between
30° and 0°. They get their names from the
direction they flow. The northern hemisphere
gets the Northeast Trade Winds and the
southern gets Southeast Trade Winds.
Westerlies
The Westerlies is between 30° and 60° latitude.
They are called the Westerlies because the
direction they blow is from west to east and
both hemispheres.
Polar Easterlies
Polar Easterlies is between 60° and 90° latitude.
They are called easterlies because they blow
from east to west and are in both
hemispheres.
Jet Streams
The jet streams are narrow bands of high-speed
winds. They are found in both hemisphere.

Plate Tectonics and Orbital Changes
The movement of plate tectonics over millions
have changed the wind flow and ocean
currents around the globe. Which changed the
temperature.
