International research co-operation
 Candidate countries associated to the FP will participate under
same conditions as EU Member States
 FP6 will be open on the project level and on the basis of mutual
benefit to the participation of entities from third countries and of
international organisations for scientific co-operation
A budget of 315 Meuros is devoted to international cooperation involving developing countries, Mediterranean
countries, the Western Balkans, Russia and the Newly
Independent States (NIS).
Another 285 Meuros is earmarked to finance the participation
of third country organisations in the Thematic priorities

resources and mobility to fund research training for thirdcountry researchers in Europe
