 Climate change is a major issue affecting our whole
planet. It impacts our quality of life, identity, and
citizenship in our community, province, country, and
world.
 What can governments do to make a difference?
 Alberta, Canada, and the United States have very
important political and economic decisions to make
when it comes to environmental issues and climate
change.

agreement that has established targets for reducing
climate change for 37 industrialized countries. As of
2007, the United States and Kazakhstan were the only
two countries that had not formally approved or
ratified the act.
