Environmental Information System was established in
2006 under MoEF that also allows data access and
query to other institutions that deal with environmental
data.
TEIEN will create an environment over which
participants shall exchange regular environmental data
through the mechanisms and applications to be
developed. The system will also serve advanced
reporting tools and GIS-enabled decision support tools
for geo-referenced environmental data. It was started
in December 2008 and will last in 16 months.
Reporting at all levels planned to be realised through
the reporting tool of TEIEN
