OBJECTIVES:
To guaranty a constant and fluent dialogue among the countries
in the region, in order to foster a better understanding of priorities,
needs, gaps and experiences
To promote the integration of climate change within the national
strategies of sustainable development
To approach common positions in international forums of climate
change
To collaborate on impacts and adaptation to climate change
To facilitate the development of CDM projects in the region
To strength Institutional capacity of the Climate Change Offices
To enhance capacity and knowledge building: research, training,
information exchange…
To promote an effective implementation of the UNFCCC
Ibero-American Network of Climate Change Offices (RIOCC)
The RIOCC is a cooperative structure that facilitates both North – South
and South – South collaboration  Strong element to disseminate
information, methods and tools, experiences for adaptation to
climate change
How does it work?
- Main coordinator: Head of the Spanish Climate Change Office
- Coordinators: Heads of the Climate Change Offices
- Focal points on adaptation
- Focal points on CDM
One regular annual RIOCC meeting  Prioritization + Conclusions 

socio-economic basis, taking into
account current and future
climate change and variability
