Research Centers/Cures
• John Hopkins Research has done studies that
show Moxifloxacin* might help to fight TB
• Global Tuberculosis Institute is looking at
vaccines to protect HIV infected people
A strain of bacteria, called Mycobacterium bovis,
is similar enough to the TB strain
(Mycobacterium tuberculosis) that vaccination
with the bovine strain protects against TB.
Controlling TB
Steps for controlling TB are….
1. Hold a fundraiser to purchase vaccines and
raise TB awareness.
2. With the money, buy and send vaccinations to
the high risk countries first and lower risk
countries as soon as possible.
3. Then put people that have TB on medication
(Four antibiotics daily for six months(injected)
These steps should help control Tuberculosis.
