What is rabies?
•A disease caused by a virus that can
kill you by attacking the brain and
spinal cord.
•A disease that can be carried by all
mammals.

Why have a World Rabies Day?
• Rabies is a preventable disease yet
people still die every day from rabies
infection.

information they need to help eliminate

•If an animal with rabies bites you, the
virus can get into your body.
