Transcript The Power of Speaking The Word

This is my Bible.
I am what it says I am,
I have what it says I have,
I can do what it says I can do.
Today, I’ll be taught
the Word of God,
I boldly confess,
My mind is alert,
My heart is receptive,
I’ll never be the same.
I am about to receive,
The incorruptible, indestructible,
ever-living seed of the Word of God.
I’ll never be the same,
In Jesus’ Name.
Colossians 1:22
Learn to see yourself as God sees you
and believe what His
Word declares about
you
The Power of
Speaking The Word
Part 1
Mark 11:12-14, 20-23
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever
shall say unto this mountain, Be thou
removed, and be thou cast into the sea;
and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall
believe that those things which he saith
shall come to pass; he shall have
whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:23
Notice the emphasis on the word “say”
Elements of FAITH

Hearing
– Romans 10:17
Action
– James 1:22-25
Confession – Mark 11:23
Spiritual Principle
He shall have whatsoever
he saith
Words set spiritual forces in motion to
bring what you say to pass
A Spiritual Principle / Fundamental Truth
2 Corinthians 4:13
We having the same
spirit of faith, according
as it is written, I
believed, and therefore
have I spoken; we also
believe, and therefore
speak;
Many times a breakdown in our faith
occurs because of the
words we speak
There is “power”
associated with our
words
“Speaking” is the #1
action in releasing our
faith
Matthew 12
34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being
evil, speak good things? for out of the
abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
35 A good man out of the good treasure of
the heart bringeth forth good things: and an
evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth
forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word
that men shall speak, they shall give account
thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified,
and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
What Jesus said about
our words

What’s in your heart will come out
your mouth

We are accountable for our words

Our words justify or condemn us
James 3
8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an
unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father;
and therewith curse we men, which are made
after the similitude of God.
10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth
blessing and cursing. My brethren, these
things ought not so to be.
Through faith we understand that the
worlds were framed by the word of
God, so that things which are seen were
not made of things which do appear.
Hebrews 11:3
Creative Effect of
Words
God’s Word is alive and is a creative force
Man is created in the image of God and his
words follow this same spiritual principle
(but not in the same dimension of course)
Spiritual Law Concerning
Our Words
Calling things that be not as though they
were – Romans 4:17-21
Our words, when agreeing with God’s
Word cause ministering spirits (angels) to
hearken unto them – Heb 1:14; Psa 103:20
We frame our world
with our words
The wise person will
be shaping their
tomorrow with good
words today
“Calling those things which be not as though they
were” Romans 4:17
This IS NOT calling things which are as though they
are not
A Major Reason Why We
Fail To Receive from God
Proverbs 6:2
Thou art snared with the words of thy
mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy
mouth.
Faith filled words establish what God has said
Negative words establish the lies of the devil
Examples
Scriptures Concerning Our Words
The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence
covereth the mouth of the wicked. Proverbs 10:11
There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the
tongue of the wise is health. Proverbs 12:18
He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that
openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. Proverbs 13:3
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they
that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21
Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul
from troubles. Proverbs 21:23

You can have what you say (good or bad)
Words set spiritual forces in motion
What you say reveals what is really
in your heart
We will be held accountable for our
words
Our words should be in agreement
with God’s Word
