Study this
How quickly can you find out what is so
unusual about this paragraph? It looks so
ordinary that you would think that nothing is
wrong with it at all, and, in fact, nothing is. But
it is unusual. Why? If you study it and think
about it, you may find out, but I’m not going to
assist you in any way. You must do it without
coaching. No doubt, if you work at it, it will
dawn on you. Who knows? Go to work and try
your skill.
The fox, the hen and the grain
You are at a river with a fox, a hen and a
bag of grain. You have to cross the river in
your canoe but you can only take one
thing with you at a time. You can’t leave
the hen with the grain, he’ll eat it; you
can’t leave the fox with the hen, he’ll eat
it. How do you get everything across
without anything being eaten?
Snakes
When I went to the zoo I counted a total of
27 heads and 70 feet.
I was counting snakes, lizards and people.
I know that there were exactly twice as
many lizards as people. How many snakes
did I count?
