TKR Flex Cable Issues addressed
Mechanical
1. Grid – Flex Cable Interface
2. CTE mismatch Tower – Grid (introduce loop)
3. Cable – Wall interference: move resistors
1. Cactus arm resistors on wall side, all other on TEM side
4. Cable – TEM interface (take out loop)
5. Stiffener at D connectors (TEM side) see below
6. Assembly Procedure (NO pre-bend, but needs more meat)
7. Bend Tool for Cactus arms (existence proof only)

Assembly Process Doc

RPJ Message: should the drawing not specify the thermistor to be glued down and then
potted?
In flight cables we will also need to specify potting for the connectors and resistors (or
maybe just a conformal coat for the latter).
Should there not be a note on the drawing regarding the cure cycle for the film adhesive
(done)?
I would like to make it clear somehow that the film adhesive needs to extend under the
metal wings of the connector, not just the main plastic body. This was not done so
far at SLAC, but it is important if we are to be sure that the metal shells don't pop off.
