VERB
- is a word or group of words that
indicates action, being, or process.
THREE TYPES OF VERB

LINKING VERBS
TYPES OF VERBS
1. ACTION VERB
physical or mental.

EXAMPLE:
Samantha is playing golf.

2. VERB OF BEING - show a state of
existence.
VERB OF BEING
Forms of be verb:

- will be
- were
- has/have
- had been
VERB OF BEING
EXAMPLE:
She is a doctor.

3.LINKING VERB - ink a subject with its
complement.
LINKING VERB
EXAMPLES:
- appear
- taste
- smell
- fell
- look
- sound
The food taste delicious.
She look sick.
LINKING VERB
EXAMPLES:
- am
- is

- be
- being
- seems
- become
LINKING VERB
Example: Our teacher is hardworking.

States a fact, asks a question, or
exclaims.

2. Imperative Mood
Gives a command. The subject
is always "you" understood.

3. Subjunctive Mood
Occurs in two instances.
The sentence indicates a situation
contrary to fact.

demand.
