LE TEMPS
 Le temps is literally translated to “The time”
 You have heard this before in the question
 Qu’est-ce que tu aimes faire dans ton temps libre?
 What do you like to do in your free time?
 However, le temps is the term also used for “The
weather”
 Quel temps fait-il?
 How’s the weather?
FAIRE, PAS ÊTRE
 Just like we saw with “Les expressions avec Avoir”,
English uses the verb “To Be”; however, French uses
other verbs
 In this case, when describing the weather, we use the
impersonal verb “Faire”
 Il fait beau
 It’s nice out
 Il fait du vent
 It’s windy
3 RD PERSON SINGULAR = IL
When describing “Le temps”, we are always
going to use “Il [verb]”
We are never going to see any other pronoun
(No = Je/Tu/Il/Nous/Vous/Ils)
Il fait du soleil
It is sunny
