Trouble with Time Travel
Part 2b
2b = to be = sein
We all know how verb travel back into
the past, but there are some issues…
Wir fahren mit dem Auto.
Ich komme auch zur Schule.
Both fahren and kommen wanted to
travel in time…
Wir fahren mit dem Auto.
Ich komme auch zur Schule.
They rememberd what machen did
with haben and the ‘ge-verb-t’ thingy
and started following the steps…
Wir fahren mit dem Auto.
Ich komme auch zur Schule.
First haben (dressed properly) came to
take their place…
Wir haben
fahren mit dem Auto am Wochenende.
Ich habe
komme auch zur Schule.
They both got ge-verb-t
fahren
Wir haben
fahren mit dem Auto.
komme
Ich habe
esse auch zur Schule.
They both got ge-verb-t
gefahrt
Wir haben
trinken mit dem Auto.
gekommt
Ich habe
esse auch zur Schule.
And traveled as far back as they could…
gefahrt
Wir haben
trinken mit dem Auto.
gekommt
Ich habe
esse auch zur Schule.
But they both hit an IRREGULAR time
vortex…
gefahrt
Wir haben
trinken mit dem Auto.
gekommt
Ich habe
esse auch zur Schule.
But this was a HUGE IRREGULAR time
vortex…
gefahrt
Wir haben
trinken mit dem Auto.
gekommt
Ich habe
esse auch zur Schule.
And it effected ALL the verbs in play!
gefahrt
Wir haben
trinken mit dem Auto.
gekommt
Ich habe
esse auch zur Schule.
When they finally stopped spinning…
gefahren
Wir haben
trinken mit dem Auto.
gekommen
Ich habe
esse auch zur Schule.
…they had changed (just like the others)...
gefahren
Wir trinken
sind mit dem Auto.
gekommen
Ich esse
bin auch zur Schule.
…and settled down at the end of the
sentence…
gefahren.
Wir trinken
sind mit dem Auto
gekommen.
Ich esse
bin auch zur Schule
…BUT BECAUSE THE TIME VORTEX WAS
SO BIG ‘HABEN’ CHANGED INTO SEIN!
Wir trinken
sind mit dem Auto gefahren.
Ich esse
bin auch zur Schule gekommen.
…BUT BECAUSE THE TIME VORTEX WAS
SO BIG ‘HABEN’ CHANGED INTO SEIN!
Wir trinken
sind mit dem Auto gefahren.
Ich esse
bin auch zur Schule gekommen.

the paradox:

moving from one spot to another.
Because of the paradox of:

A time paradox is also formed when
the main verb show a change of state…
…the subj. BECOMEs something else…
For example…
When you ‘become’ something, you
change becoming something else…
For example…
When you wake up, you go through a
change of state from asleep to awake…
…you become awake
For example…
When you grow up, you go through a
change of state from child to adult…
…you become grown up
For example…

For example…
