Does PBL works in the Spanish classroom?
Yes if ..
- You like projects
- You plan in units
- Students collaborate in the
target language
- You have block schedule
Project-Based Learning is effective because:
• Learning is partly a social activity.
• Learners actively use what they know and build on it.
• It reflects the environment in which we live and learn (plan,
collaborate, and communicate).

Things to keep in mind when using PBL
Make sure the students practice their Spanish when working on a project.
- Bell ringers
- Vocabulary drills
- Journal entries
Make sure the students use their notes, books or dictionaries instead of online
