A Verb is a word that expresses any action.

SOLUTION FOR PAIR WORK
a) Verbs are mainly of two kinds.
b) They are – 1) Finite Verb &
2) Non- Finite Verb
c) Finite Verb: A Finite Verb agrees or changes with
the number & person of the subject. It also changes
with the time or tense of the verb. A sentence is
incomplete without a Finite verb.
Examples:
1) I drew a picture.
2) Supti sings a song.
SOLUTION OF PAIR WORK
Non- Finite Verb:
Non-Finite Verbs are those that do not change their forms
according to the number & person of the subject.
Examples:
1) He wants to go home.
2I saw him going to school.
3) Reading makes a man wise.

Finite verb is of two kinds.
a) Principal Verb &
b) Auxiliary Verb.

A verb which expresses its meaning completely &
independently
is called Principal Verb.

Principal Verb.
Examples :
a) We see a bird.
b) He takes bread at night.
## Auxiliary Verb.
An auxiliary Verb helps a principal Verb to
form different tenses, moods and voice.
They can’t stand alone.
Example :
a) I am going to school.
b) He is known to me.
