“AR”
English Verbs
You must conjugate (change) a
verb to fit the subject.
For example, you can’t say
I to swim, he to swim, etc.
Instead, you take off the TO and
change the verb.
For Example. . .
singular
I swim
plural
we swim
you swim
xxx
he swims
she swims
it swims
they swim
you all swim
Spanish Verbs
Just like in English, in Spanish
you have to change the verb
to match the subject too.
For example, you can’t just say
yo nadar, tú nadar, etc.
You have to conjugate the
verb by changing the ending.
There are 2 steps you must
follow . . . .
Take off the -ar ending:
nadar = nad
Add the ending that
matches with the subject.
