Irregular Verbs
Instructions: When we talk about events that have already happened, we are talking about the past. Most of the
time, we add “ed” to the verb. But some verbs are irregular: they break the rule.
Directions: Complete the sentences below. All of the verbs in parenthesis are irregular verbs (they do not add “ed”).
There are answer choices to help you.
The man in the red hat bringed / brought green eggs and ham.
He held / helded them over his head.
The man in the black hat frowned when he saw / see the green eggs and ham.
He say / said he did not want to try them.
He rode/rided on the front of the car.
He keeped / kept saying “No, no, no.”
