More About Verbs
Remember:
 -Verbs tell what someone or
something does.
 -A verb can show something that
happens now, in the past, or in the
future.

Identify past, present and future
verbs.








- Find the verb in these sentences that end with “ed”.
She painted the chair blue.
Dad tossed the ball to the dog.
We listened to the beautiful music.
Mother cooked a turkey for Thanksgiving.
Tommy walked to school.
The bunny hopped around the yard.

Past tense verbs sometimes have “ed” added
after the base word.
Present tense verbs usually end with “s”.
Future tense verbs usually follow the word
“will”.
