• The Right whale is
one of the most
endangered species
of whale

Horseshoe Crabs
 Isn’t really a crab at all; closely related to ticks,
scorpions, and spiders
 The tail is not used for a weapon; used for digging and
moving about in the water
 Males are much smaller than females
Sea Stars
Types of sea stars
common to Georgia
are:
• Purple star
• Mottled star
• Six-armed star
• Blood star
• Sunflower star
• Leather star
Loggerhead Turtles
• Extremely
endangered species
• Five species of
Loggerhead turtles
live on and off of
Georgia’s coast
