Two verbs in a row
Sometimes you need to use two verbs in
a row. For example: We need to clean.
Need is the first verb and clean is the
second.
 In English, just like in Spanish, you only
conjugate the first verb; the second
verb is left out in the infinitive.

To need is conjugated with we.
need.
To clean is left in the infinitive; that’s why
you see “to” in front of it.

In Spanish We need to clean
translates to:
Nosotros necesitamos limpiar
Necesitar is conjugated with nosotros=
necesitamos
Limpiar is left in the infinitive
(Remember that verbs in the infinitive
end in –ar, -er, or –ir in Spanish; in
English they have a “to” in front of
them)
