

Book directly receives the action of the verb “reads”
It can also be a person



How to find it?

It usually answers whom or what with regard to
what the subject is doing.




Bill hit the ball.
Bill hit what?
Bill hit the ball.
It’s used to avoid repetition of the noun.


Paul bought flowers. He took the flowers home and
gave the flowers to his wife.
Paul bought flowers. He took them home and gave
them to his wife.
What are the pronouns?

It’s me, you, him, her, it, us, and them in English.




Where do DOPs go?

Sentences with only one verb- directly
BEFORE the verb.





Directly before conjugated verb


Mario la quiere invitar. Or Mario la está invitando.
Attached to the end of the infinitive/gerund

