Use
There are several ways to express a specific
action in the present. One of these forms is
called Present Progressive.
When an action takes place at this moment we
use the Present Progressive.

Present Progressive
1. When a verb ends with ( e ) you have to
omit the e and add ing.
write – writing
dance- dancing
smile – smiling
make – making
Present Progressive
1. When a verb ends with CVC you have to
double the last letter.
sit – sitting
run – running
put – putting
cut – cutting
Present Progressive ‫הווה ממושך‬
3. If a verb ends with w / x / y, you don’t
double the last letter.
fix – fixing
mix – mixing
blow – blowing
fly – flying
Present Progressive ‫הווה ממושך‬
3. When a verb ends with ( ie), you omit the
(ie )and add ing.
lie – lying
tie – tying
die – dying
