7.2 / Modal Verbs
Should : is used for advice.
You should see a doctor
Had better: is used for strong advise and warning.
You had better get some help. I’d better call.
Have to: is used for personal obligation.
I have to go. She has to study.
Must : is used for necessity and great urgency.
You must bring your passport.
Notes:
verbs after modals are always in simple present
tense.
