Mt. Everest Facts
• It’s a really tall mountain.
– 29,035 ft high
• It’s really far away.
– It’s summit is the border of Nepal and Tibet (China)
• It’s really difficult to climb.
– You have to train, plan, and commit yourself in order
to conquer the summit.
• Who climbed it first?
– Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay on May 29,
1953, but first they had to base camp, then climb,
and then summit.
