Remember that in Spanish, there are 3 types
of Infinitives –AR, -ER, and –IR.
When you conjugate a verb in Present Tense
you follow the following steps:
1. Drop the endings (–AR, -ER, or –IR) from the stem
2. Add the ending that matches the subject

The preposition de is used after the verb salir
to talk about leaving a place.
 Salgo de mi casa a las siete
 I leave my house at seven.

The preposition de is also used after the verb
saber to say how much someone knows
about something.
 No sé mucho de arte.
 I don’t know much about art.

A tag question is attached to the end of a
sentence to make it a question.

If you expect someone to answer yes, use
¿no? or ¿verdad?

When the expected answer is no, use
¿verdad?


Ejemplos:
¿Vienes a la fiesta, ¿no? (¿verdad?)
◦ You’re coming to the party, aren’t you?

Si, voy a ir.
◦ Yes, I’m going to go.

¿No vas al partido, ¿verdad?
◦ You’re not going to the game, right?

No, no voy.
◦ No, I’m not going.



