Troubleshooting for PCBE
Agent
 No Communication with UPS/"No Server"
-- Step1 : Check the cable type.
Make sure that the serial cable that came with the UPS is attached between the UPS
and the system serial port. It is NOT a standard RS-232 cable.
The required cable depends on the UPS model - please refer to the table below.
After the proper cable is attached stop and restart the PCBE Agent Daemon.
If the system is still unable to communicate proceed to the next step.

Troubleshooting for PCBE Agent
Password of 3-16 characters is required for
PowerChute Business Edition
During the installation of PCBE, when prompted to select user name and password, the
error message "Password of 3-16 characters is required".
This issue occurs when the screen resolution is less than 800 x600 and the confirm
password box is not visible. This error can occur on all Operating Systems with this screen
resolution.
There are two ways to resolve.
The customer may use the TAB key once to insert the cursor into the confirm password text
box that remains offscreen. The customer should then hit the 'next' button to continue with
the installation.
The second option would be to change the screen resolution and try installing the software
again.
