• A smart card, chip card, or integrated circuit card (ICC), is any
pocket-sized card with embedded integrated circuits.
• Can be used for personal identification for financial services,
healthcare, banking, entry to secure places, small amount
payments, secure network access, set top boxes etc.
DIGITAL SIGNATURES AND BIO-METRICS FOR IDENTITY

A digital signature or digital signature scheme is a mathematical scheme for
demonstrating the authenticity of a digital message or document. A valid digital
signature gives a recipient reason to believe that the message was created by a
known sender, and that it was not altered in transit. Digital signatures are commonly
used for software distribution, financial transactions, and in other cases where it is
important to detect forgery or tampering.

Presently all forms of information are digitized and stored on digital storage
equipment. This is enabled by the ever-growing storage technologies, digital
technologies and explosive growth of the internet.
Multimedia content, E-books, Digital audio and video content enable us to store all
forms of content on the web. Digitization of all existing content is the present.
Access to world-wide archives of complete historical data will be our future. This shall
make the print media obsolete.
We are slowly evolving into a computer and network driven society and all future
needs will be answered only by these two vehicles of today.

E-textiles, also known as electronic textiles, are fabrics that
enable computing, digital components, and electronics to be embedded
in them. Part of the development of wearable technology, they are
known as intelligent clothing or smart clothing because they allow for
the incorporation of built-in technological elements in everyday textiles
and clothes.
