Introduction to a “Mote”
Definition: (n.) A deep wide ditch, usually filled with water,
typically surrounding a fortified medieval town, fortress, or
castle as a protection against assault.
REAL Definition: (n.) A wireless receiver/transmitter that is
typically combined with a sensor of some type to create a
remote sensor. Some motes are designed to be incredibly
small so that they can be deployed by the hundreds or
even thousands for various applications.
