WHO WE ARE: AHMADIYYA MUSLIM JAMA’AT
• Established: 1889 by Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) (1835-1908) of Qadian, India. He
proclaimed himself as the awaited Promised Messiah and Mahdi whose advent was foretold
by the Holy Prophet (sa). In fulfilling Jesus’ second advent, Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad
(as) arrived in the “spirit and power” of Jesus just as John the Baptist fulfilled the second
advent of Elijah. (Matthew 11:14 and 17:12-13).

OUR MOTTO: “LOVE FOR ALL – HATRED FOR NONE”
• Living in accordance with their ethic of non-violence and their motto, “Love for All, Hatred for
None”, the Ahmadiyya Community strives to serve humanity and the cause of peace and
security by engaging in charitable and philanthropic work such as the founding of hospitals
and schools for the poorest and neediest populations in the world.
• We are Muslims who work within our governments around the world on how to address
terrorism and extremism in Islam by removing the very tools (e.g., the anti-blasphemy laws)
that give extremists control over minorities and, subsequently, society as a whole.
• The Prime Minister of Canada praised the Ahmadiyya Khalifa as a "courageous champion of
religious freedom and of peace," and applauded him for denouncing anyone who perverts
faith by using it as a justification for violence.
