Who is the founder of Islam?
Who was Muhammad? (pbuh)
• a. Muslims view Muhammad as the last
prophet of God. This line of prophets
includes Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and
others. Muhammad is a prophet, but his
significance goes further … he received
the final and complete revelations of the
faith from Allah. He is so revered that
after Muslims use his name, they follow
with the words, “Peace Be Upon Him”
or “PBUH.”
• b. Muslims do not worship Muhammad.
However, they hold him in very high
regard because of his role in revealing
Islam in its complete and final form.
