Geography
 The prophet lived in Mecca which was in the Arabian
Peninsula
 It was dry and hot in the desert
 The climate was usually very hot
 The prophet lived near a few mountains(Mount Hira,
etc)
 There wasn’t much room for plant life since it barely
rained

Childhood
 Muhammad’s dad died before he was born
 Mother died when he was 5 years old
 Got taken by grandfather
 Grandfather passed away
 Uncle took care of him
 He went with his uncle for trading business
Marriage
 He met Hadijah and fell in love
 Hadijah tested him by keeping him in charge of her
trading and made her maid follow him
 The trading went up and the maid told her he was a
good man
 Hadijah proposed and her and the prophet were wed
The Revelation
 When the prophet was in Cave Hira Angel Gibriel
came to him
 He told the prophet to read
 The prophet got scared and ran to his wife
 He said, "Cover me” Hadijah covered him
 The prophet told Hadijah what happened to him
 She took him to her cousin who told the prophet that
he was a prophet
The Message of Allah
 The prophet started making speeches and asking
people to join the religion of Islam
 The Quraish got angry and told Abu-Talib to tell the
prophet to stop giving speeches which would make
people stop believing in idols
 The prophet didn’t listen and continued following
Islam
 The Quraish told everyone that the prophet was a
sorcerer
 This made people many more people Muslims
Unbelief
 The prophet was being called names and being
mistreated
 Even one of his cousins told him that he wouldn’t
believe in Islam
 The Quraish kept on asking him to bring some angels
and Allah as proof
 The prophet started feeling sorry and sad for his
people
Bilal
 He was a slave who believed in Allah
 He got punished and whipped a lot, because he was a
Muslim
 Bilal was bought by Abu Bakr while Bilal was beingb
punished
 Bilal was the first Muslim to recite the Athan and
Iqama
 He was changed from a slave to one of the best
Muslims
The Year of Sadness
 Khadijah and Abu Talib both died
 The prophet was in much sorrow
 He called that year the year of sadness
 He tried to make his daughters happy
The Journey to Jannah
 The prophet went to Jannah on a flying carpet with
Gibriel
 Allah told him that all Musims should pray 50 times a
day
 The Prophet met all the other prophets and they told
him to ask Allah to lessen the prayers
 The prophet went Allah over and over again till there
were only 5 prayers
The Migration
 The Muslims decided to move to Medina
 The Quraish heard of their plan and they decided to
ambush the prophet
 They sent assassins to kill him when he would leave his
house
 The prophet heard of this plan and he snuck outside
and threw some dirt in the air
 The Quraish assassins fell asleep and the Muslims left
The Wars
 The Battle of Badr
 The Battle of Uhad
 The Battle of the Trench
The Prophet’s Death
 He got ill
 He went to make one last pilgrimage
 The prophet was in the masjid speaking to Fatima and
Aisha
 He died in the masjid
 His last words were: O god with supreme communion
The Impact the Prophet Had
 He started Islam
 He made Islam grow till it was the second biggest
religion
 He caused many men to change their bad habit
 He was an example for everyone
