Statements about Allah and Muhammad
All Muslims’ say this, usually in Arabic:
Allah is the only god and Muhammad is his
messenger
NEVER SAY THIS AROUND A MUSLIM!!!
(especially not in Arabic)
– If you do, you will be considered a convert,
be subject to Islamic law and all your
property will become Muslim property
– This actually happened to American business
people in Muslim countries

2. Ritual Prayers (Al Salat):

Muslims must ceremonially wash

They must pray toward Mecca:

Say, “Allahu akbar” (“God is Great”)

Must pray 5 times a day

Can’t choose what to pray – must pray
certain rituals, formulas & Quran verses

Must pray in Arabic even if you don’t
understand it

3. Daytime Fasting during the month of
Ramadan (Siam Shahar Ramadan)

This is the holiest month for Muslims as
Muhammad is said to have received the
Qur'an

They are to fast during daylight hours for
the entire month

But, they make up for it after dark

4. Paying of Ritual Alms (Al-Zakat)

All devout Muslims must pay 2.5% of
their income as alms to poor Muslims

There’s no religious reason to help nonMuslims

They can give a voluntary offering (“Al
Sadaka”) to anybody, but Allah only gives
him spiritual credit when he helps
Muslims.

This is a cube-shaped building

It contains the “black stone,”

The crowds circle the Kaaba seven times
counterclockwise while chanting prayers
Those who can reach the “black stone” kiss it
– those who cannot get through the crowd blow
kisses at it

2nd & 3rd Mount Arafat, then Mina to
stone the devil

At Mt. Arafat they gather stones

In Mina, they try to purge themselves of
sins by symbolically stoning the devil as
personified by 3 stone “pillars”

The government limits the timing of the
stoning ritual to just a few days

So, over 2 million people are packed in a
small area


This final visit satisfies the requirements of
the Hajj

But most Muslims also visit Muhammad’s
mosque and grave in Medina

Unlike Jesus, he’s still in his tomb.

6. The Forgotten Pillar: “Holy War”
(Jihad). Islam’s objective is to take over
the world for Allah
Volume 4, Book 52 of the Hadith
explicitly says that Muslims will one day
be required to kill Jews

• Most Muslims are peace-loving people
• But their religion is not
• Most ignore or hide that the Qur'an
commands them to fight to spread their
faith and, if necessary, to kill the
enemies of Islam
• They are merely following the
commands of their religion

• 2 passages of the Hadith :
• “You (i.e. Muslims) will fight with the Jews
till some of them will hide behind stones.
The stones will (betray them) saying, ‘O
‘Abdullah (i.e. slave of Allah)! There is a
Jew hiding behind me; so kill him.’” (Vol. 4,
Book 52, #176), and
• “The Hour will not be established until you
fight with the Jews, and the stone behind
which a Jew will be hiding will say. “O
Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me,
so kill him.” (Vol. 4, Book 52, #177)

years ago, after wards, his followers fought
over who should succeed him as the leader of
Islam.

What Black Muslims Don’t See or Ignore
Historical Islam is Arabic through &
through, and latecomers must conform to
its traditions
 That the Hadith reports:

– (Vol. 1, no. 63; Vol. 2, no. 122; Vol. 2, no.
141; Vol. 1, no. 367) - that Muhammad was a
white man
– (Hadith, Vol. 1, no. 662; Vol. 9, no. 256) - He
called black people “raisin heads”
– (Vol. 9, nos. 162 &163) – He said that to
dream of a black woman was an evil omen of
a coming epidemic of disease

Many Black Muslims:
Blame Europeans for slavery in the
Americas but ignore the role Muslims
played
 The Europeans weren’t able to go into
central Africa to buy or kidnap Native
Africans
 They hired Muslims to do it for them

– Who wouldn’t take other Muslims as slaves
– But took Native (non-Muslim) Africans

1992: “Malcolm X” movie, revived interest
in the Black Muslim religion
 Malcolm X was assassinated by fellow
Black Muslims after his 1stAl Hajj
 He realized Islam wasn’t primarily a black
man’s religion but was dominated by Arab
influence
 He tried spreading this message in the US
 Some militant black leaders had him
executed to silence him.


Some Black Muslims Believe:

Followers of the late Elijah Muhammad
believe Allah came in the flesh

The “prophet” W. Fard Muhammad
– (prominent in Detroit in 1930 but disappeared
4 years later)

Likewise, Louis Farrakhan has said that he
is Jesus returned in the flesh.
