Thai Festivals
• Songkran Festival
 is a Thai traditional New Year which starts on April 13 every
year and lasts for 3 days
• Sky Rocket Festival
 Rocket Festival or “Bun Bang Fai” is usually held in the
second week of May or each year, at the beginning of the
rainy season.
• Thai Demon or Ghost Festival
 is a type of masked procession celebrated on the first day of
a three-day Buddhist merit-making holiday known in Thai as
“Boon Pra Wate”. The annual festival takes in May, June, or
July.

• Long-Boat Racing
 mainly takes place in the 11th or 12th lunar months (around
September or October). When the water level is at its
highest.
• Lotus Flower Receiving
• The morning of the 14th full-moon night of October is the day before
the end of the Buddhist Lent.
• Buffalo Race
• is held in Chonburi during October every year.
• Loy Kratong
• is one of the most popular festivals of Thailand celebrated annually
on the full-moon day of the 12th lunar month. It takes place at a
time when the weather is fine as the rainy season is over and there
is a high water level all over the country.
