A Healthy Lifestyle
This presentation is all about a healthy lifestyle and if you keep
an unbalanced diet or not enough exercise, the consequences
are vital as you may become over weight and will not enjoy
your life !!! Read on to find tasty recipes, how to cook them and
lots lots more !!!

The heart
Everyone knows that the heart is a
vital organ, we can not live with out
it !!! Our heart is basically a pump
which transports blood around the
body. Here is a diagram of the
most important organ in our body

The heart contains four chambers, two at the top
and two at the bottom. The upper two are named
atria or auricles. Now moving on, your heart is the
same size as your fist and as you grow your heart
grows !!!

Exercise
When you exercise it gets your heart pumping faster as
you need more oxygen for your body and heart to keep on
going. Exercise is fun but also keeps you healthy, you can
make exercise more fun by playing games or sports.
Exercise Makes Your Heart Happy
You may know that your heart is a muscle. It works hard,
pumping blood every day of your life. You can help this
important muscle get stronger by doing aerobic exercise.
You will have stronger muscles and bones
have a leaner body because exercise helps control body fat
and be less likely to become overweight.

Recommended exercise
BMX
We recommend bmxing as a sport
to enjoy and keep you up to
scratch. You can go down to a local
skate park and get practicing so
maybe one day you might be able
to enter a competition and win
then you can become a
professional.

Balanced Diet
A balanced diet is important as you need to pace
yourself out. There are five different types of food
groups these are: Carbohydrates, proteins, fats, dairy
also fruit and vegetables.
FOOD GROUPS
The food groups contains some of
these types of foods: pasta,
oranges, broccoli, Chocolate
cheese and fish.
REMEMBER KEEP A BALANCED
DIET !!!

Fagioli Dish
Ingredients
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, quartered then halved
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (700g) jar passata
1.2L (2 pints 2 fl oz) water
2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley, or 1 tablespoon dried
2 tablespoons fresh chopped basil, or 1 tablespoon dried
1 tablespoon fresh chopped oregano, or 1 1/2 teaspoons dried
1 teaspoon salt
1 (400g) tin cannellini beans, drained
1 (400g) tin haricot beans, drained
30g (1 oz) grated Parmesan cheese
1 (500g) packet macaroni pasta
Preparation method
In a large stockpot over medium heat, cook onion in olive oil until
translucent. Stir in garlic and cook until soft.
Reduce heat and stir in passata, water, parsley, basil, oregano,
salt, cannellini beans, haricot beans and Parmesan. Simmer 1 hour.
Cook macaroni according to packet instructions; drain. Stir into
soup.

gain wrinkles and by the
time your 40 you will have
a face of a 60 year old.
You can damage your
brain, lungs and heart.
Slowly you are blocking
up your heart. You could
suffer from a severe heart
attack which could affect
your life for ever !!! So
think about it !! When you
start smoking you will
never stop as you will
become addicted to it and
then you could have
serious cancer not to
mention a heart attack !!

If you smoke your
brain cells will slowly die
!!!

Women should only drink
two to three units of
alcohol a day but men
should drink three to four
units a day !
ALCOHOL
When you drink too much alcohol
you may become dizzy, and think
you’re invincible. Large amounts
of alcohol can damage the
muscles in your heart it can also
lead to high blood pressure. Its
best not to drink too much
alcohol, if you want your power
pack to carry on working on !!!
