and there are large slow moving slabs of rock that ride
over the pliable layer of the Earth’s mantle and because
of this movement landforms are formed.

separating plates similar and different?

They are similar because they both form landforms.
Colliding plates form ocean trenches, mountains;
Separating plates form ocean ridges, volcanic islands.
