Global Water Inc. - Overview

Water is seemingly an abundant resource covering approximately 70% of
the Earth‘s surface. However...
97% is salt water and only 3% is fresh water
Of the fresh water, 80% is inaccessible in glaciers, icebergs and snow
Therefore only 20% of fresh water, or less than 1% of the world’s total water
supply, is readily available for human consumption.

Access to fresh, clean water is a growing global health concern
Some shocking statistics…
•
Over 3 billion people suffer from chronic water borne diseases,
resulting in deaths of over 5 million people, mostly children, each
year
•
Water borne diseases reduce life expectancy and perpetuate the
cycle of poverty by impacting educational levels, productivity and
family bonds
•
An estimated 20% of the world’s population, or over 1 billion
people, lacks access to safe drinking water
•
•
Approximately 2.3 billion people lack sanitary facilities
•
The average person in the US uses between 65-78 gallons (250300 liters) of water per day, while the average person in Gambia
uses only 1.17 gallons (4.5 liters) of water per day (GPD)
Global consumption of water is doubling every 20 years, more
than twice the rate of human population growth…..

Worldwide access to safe water reserves is not evenly distributed
The traditional model for water and wastewater
treatment facilities is frought with problems:
• Centralized, large-scale facilities have limited
distribution reach
• „Heavy infrastructure“ construction has significant first
costs
• Additional investments are required post-construction
for water transportation to and from the facility
• The return on investment for a new facility, based on
anticipated water treatment volume output, is often
not economically viable
For many municipalities, rual communities, industrial
clients as well as agricultural clients, this traditional
model can no longer solve their water treatment needs.
The new solution: Global Water‘s modular,
decentralized model using mobile water treatment
and purification equipment

WATER 101
Let’s Look at the
Three Basic Steps to
Purify Water
Global Water Inc. - Overview
6
What are the three basic steps to purify water
First:
You’ve got to remove the parasites.
Parasites include Giardia and Cryptosporidium. Crypto creates a flulike symptom and is very dangerous to anyone with a weak immune
system.
Second: You’ve got to get rid of the hazardous chemicals and
hazardous metals
Such as lead and mercury; insecticides, pesticides, radon, chlorine,
etc.
Third:
You need to kill the bacteria and viruses.

7
Removing Parasites
Removing parasites is no magic.
• This requires filtering down to one (1) micron. At one micron you
remove those parasitic cysts
Note: Most municipal systems don’t remove the parasites, and
probably can’t. If they filtered down to one micron their systems
would slow to a crawl and not provide the water we consume.
All of Global’s systems filter to one
micron.

Removing Hazardous Chemicals and Hazardous Metals
To reduce or eliminate hazardous chemicals below W.H.O., US-EPA or
International-EPA standards, Global Water Group uses a proprietary
formula of multi-media that grab and hold those elements. Only
through adsorption and absorption can you remove these hazards.
Note: Most municipal systems use chemicals, flocculation, sand
filtration and carbon tank methods. They are almost like “swimming
pool treatments.” They do NOT remove all hazardous metals or
chemicals.
Global’s proprietary formulation far
exceeds all EPA standards.

Killing bacteria & Viruses
To kill bacteria and viruses municipal systems use chlorine.
Quite often you can smell and taste the over-chlorination by municipal systems to
accomplish this, making water sometimes undrinkable.
Note: The World Health Organization for years has been telling the world to STOP
using chlorine.
While chlorine has benefits of killing viruses and bacteria, when used in water that
is not “cleaned” (which is usually the case) it creates carcinogens.
Global Water uses Ultra-Violet in its
systems to kill bacteria and viruses.

10
Global uses all three concepts of
purification in every water treatment
system it builds:
Filtration to 1-Micron;
Adsorption/Absorption to remove hazardous
chemicals; and
Ultra-Violet to kill bacteria and viruses;
making its output quality better than any
water you could buy at the supermarket or
in any fine restaurant.

Overview: Global’s Fresh Water Purification System
Global offers individual, modularized fresh
water purification systems with capacity
ranging from 14,400 GPD to 264,550 GPD
per unit
•
•
•
•
The systems are fabricated and tested
in a controlled environment prior to
delivery (minimizing project timeline)
Systems require minimum maintenance
and are easy to operate
Proven technology utilized in projects
all over the world (40+ countries)
Typical operating costs for the basic
fresh water purification system average
$0.60 - $0.90 per 1,000 gallons ($0.16 to
$0.24 per m3)

Overview:
Global’s Wastewater and Wastewater-Effluent Recycling System
Global Water Group uses a proprietary formula that captures hazardous elements. Then through
adsorption and absorption these hazardous elements are removed.
Global’s modular black-water and gray-water treatment
units utilize a biological process called the “extended
aeration activated sludge” process.
Single systems can handle from 2,500 GPD to 32,000 GPD;
modular “clusters” extend to more than 264,000 GPD;
Multiple clusters create municipal systems of any size.
Advantages:
• No sludge, sludge disposition and no odor
• Output quality is potable
• Environmentally “green,” easy to maintain & operate
• Cost and time-to-build advantages
• Decentralized approach to treatment
• Exceed EU, WHO, International & U.S. EPA Standards

Overview: Global’s Emergency Water Purification System
Global offers a variety of emergency fresh water systems suitable for water from rivers, lakes, streams,
wells, or municipal systems. Purification through filtration (1) to capture parasites; absorption through its
proprietary multi-media filtration pod (2) to capture hazardous metals, insecticides, pesticides, radon,
chlorine, bad taste and odor; and through the utilization of ultra-violet light (3) to kill bacteria and viruses.

Benefits and competitive advantage of the Global Water System
•
Global’s water purification systems exceeds WHO, EU, International & U.S. EPA
standards.
•
•
Engineered & fabricated in a controlled environment, factory tested before shipping.
•
Small foot-print systems, in either single or modularized configuration. Solves problem of
initial system “over-engineering”; thus, client can scale up over time as demand
increases.
•
•
True decentralized solution – mobile system brought to source and can be relocated.
•
Wastewater processing & effluent recycling eliminates the costs of sludge disposition,
and wastewater transportation costs to centralized systems.
Quick & cost effective project realization if compared to conventional treatment
facilities.
Some systems operate using solar power and are ideal in remote locations where it is
impractical to set-up other types of systems.
The human advantage: Global’s systems improve the overall quality of life, reduce
water borne illness, and death rates.
